This method allows for protection of the submarine cables / flexible lines over crossings (pipeline / cables) and other areas of potential damage caused by abrasion and roving. With the utilization of a preformed section of “URADUCT®” type cable cover, possible abrasion over the crossing is effectively avoided.

“Uraduct®” type protectors can be supplied and installed by PSL, with installation either during the lay of the submarine cable / flexible line, or post-lay with divers.

Articulated pipes may also be applied to a distance either side of the Uraduct® area for further protection.
